Dispatch Manager 821

DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

Support the pack-out and delivery of food. Report to the Director of Operations. This position ensures that hot food, snacks, breakfasts, beverages and condiments are fulfilled accurately prior to leaving the site. The Dispatch Manager is responsible for the timely packout of all trucks and the readiness of all staging areas. The Dispatch Manager will provide training, supervision and support to all drivers, including when drivers assist with the pack out line. Additionally, this positon is responsible for maintenance for the vehicle fleet, facility and equipment used during pack out and delivery. They will monitor food safety on the trucks and bring issues to the Production Managers' attention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

OFFICE MANAGEMENT

1. Ensure the staging area is properly setup with items that were refrigerated the night before, and respond quickly and respectfully to staging area needs.

2. Ensure proper milk rotation

3.Monitor cambro tags to ensure accurate order fulfillment; identify and troubleshoot causes of inaccurate orders.

4. Double check trucks for order accuracy

5. Collect and monitor field temperature logs.

 

DRIVER TRAINING AND SUPERVISION

1. `Assist in the training of new drivers.

2. Supervise drivers and loading of the  trucks, facilitate daily driver meetings and assist in regularly scheduled evaluations of drivers.

3.Ready drivers for the pack-out line, ensuring they arrive on time and ready to begin.

4.Conduct periodic ride audits to ensure efficiency and accuracy in delivery. Serve as a secondary back-up driver when a driver is absent.

The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and handle a high-volume of inbound and outbound calls. Responsibilities include scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments, dispatching drivers, calling warehouses, carriers and drivers to ensure that orders have picked up and delivered on time and communicating any issues with an order to the appropriate party.
